About Triple J Books
Our Service Pledge
Most items ship the day after payment is received. Shipping is normally via USPS Media Mail service unless other arrangements have been made prior to shipping.About Us
Triple J Books has been in business since 2001 selling used and out-of-print books online. I specialize in, but are not limited to, history and related subjects. Though new to Ruby Lane, I have over 5500 positive reviews from previous online customers and no negatives in my over 20 years of book selling. If you look at my listings you should see everything you'd want to know about a book before buying it such as who wrote it, who published it, what year it was published, page count, condition of the book and dust jacket (if there is one), and I always try to give the buyer some idea of what the book is about or even a short biography of the author. Hopefully enough information for you to decide whether you want the book or not.
A note about First Editions.
Collectors are very interested in obtaining First Editions and by First Editions they usually mean First Editions/First Printings. Books can still be First Editions and have later printings such as second, third, etc. Look at some of Stephen King's books. Today it is generally easy to identify a First Edition/First Printing since most publishers have gone to a number line to indicate what printing you're looking at. It was not always so. Back in the old days publishers used editions/printings as internal accounting tools and almost every publisher had their own unique way of denoting it, or even not denoting it. I have a reference book, First Editions: A Guide to Identification by Edward N. Zempel. It is 669 pages long and shows how most of the big publishers identified their First Editions/Printings and what the collector needs to look for. I bring this up because I have seen many books listed as First Editions/Printings that really are not, and I've made this mistake myself at times. In my listings I try to mention why the book is a First Edition/Printing based on my research.
International Shipping
I will ship internationally, pretty much worldwide. United States Post Office International shipping costs, even for books, can be quite high and can come as a shock so I would suggest you contact me first and I can give you a pretty close estimate of what the cost will be. If you are in Canada you'll need to supply me with your post code to get an estimate.
Customer Service
I stand behind everything I sell. Period. If you're unhappy, let me know and I will make it right. Email me with your questions and concerns and I will respond promptly.
