New Hampshire Antique Co-op has recently added 7,000 square feet of display space, now totaling nearly 20,000 square feet of the finest antiques and fine art in New Hampshire. More than 280 dealers from the greater New England region as well as South America, England and the western part of the United States are exhibiting in the shop. Each exhibitor shares a common passion for the old. Whether it be ancient Chinese art, kitchen paraphernalia from the 1950s, Viennese bronze or Federal furniture, all areas of interest are represented. The Plaza and Main Street at New Hampshire Antique Co-op hold period American, English and Continental furniture. The Tower Gallery and Upstairs Gallery feature 19th and 20th century paintings by listed American and European artists. Next is Small Treasures Hall, with more than 100 showcases housing everything from 18th century silver to Chinese export porcelain, jewelry to art pottery, and cut glass to Beatles memorabilia. The shop expands to Market Square and the Discovery Barn, featuring everything from country and Victorian furniture, vintage collectibles, quality custom pieces from the 20th century, and so much more. NHAC is also proud to carry lines from two New Hampshire custom furniture workshops: Jason Samuel Antiques Bench-made Furniture and Shrives Furniture Makers.
New Hampshire Antique Co-op was founded in 1983 by husband/wife team Sam and Eileen Hackler. As one of the first group shops to appear in New England, NHAC has grown into a shop known for its breadth of expertise, diversity of product and commitment to excellence.
NHAC has since welcomed the next generation husband/wife partners, Jason Hackler and Rebecca Connolly Hackler, into the business. In the early 1990s, Jason spent several years in the museum field studying American material culture. In 1995, he joined NHAC and also created Jason Samuel Antiques. Rebecca co-owned Upstairs Downstairs Antiques on Charles Street in Boston, MA, from 1991 until 2004 when she joined NHAC, bringing in her knowledge of antiques and background in art history and graphic design. In addition, Rebecca opened Fabled Antiques in Boston in 2021. Since NHAC is a family operated business, you will typically find one of the Hacklers present to answer questions about a particular style, area of origin, or condition of an object.
The Hacklers specialize in fine art and antiques, exhibiting in the New Hampshire Antique Co-op galleries under the name Jason Samuel Antiques and Hackler Fine Art. In addition, Sam and Jason Hackler exhibit in select shows in New England and New York. They are always interested in setting up an appointment to discuss your particular antique needs.
