I answer all emails within 24 hours unless my shop says I am away on travels. I ship within 48 business hours of payment. I guarantee my items for sale are as described.About Us
I started my business in the 1990s, primarily selling porcelain dinnerware, mostly by Haviland and other Limoges makers. I evolved my business into buying and selling porcelain, pottery and art glass. I run the business from my home and today the business occupies the second floor of my house. My reference library has grown considerably over the years too, and the books line shelving along two walls in my home office. Once I went to the on-site estate auction of a deceased art glass dealer and I outbid the rare book dealers for three boxes of out-of-print books on American, European and Bohemian art glass.Today I love finding the rare and beautiful decorative objects that show up in the estates of people residing in the Northwest. I live in rural Oregon, in the heart of the wine country, along with some scattered micro breweries, and these estates often have unusual and rare porcelain, pottery and art glass with a grapes, vineyard, winery, beer or hops theme. My focus is more on genuine antiques, the objects that are older than 100 years, however some exceptional porcelain and art glass was produced in the first one-third of the 1900s, and I am happy to offer such finds for sale. I don’t find inventory for my shop only in the local region as I have made buying trips to France, Italy and other countries.
Don’t think of me as a person who only sits in front of her computer. I am an avid distance cyclist, maybe not the fastest cyclist, however I do complete several metric centuries each year and I belong to several cycling groups. It isn’t just an online antique shop as I live on land on top of a small mountain on which I grow timber trees. Over the years a nearby horse stables has created hiking and horse trails on the land and an adjoining parcel, trails that go on for miles, which affords me the opportunity to go hiking with my dogs whenever I please.
It makes me happy to find a beautiful antique object and to sell it to a customer who sees in it what I see. I always package professionally and with care, using packing materials that I purchase expressly for use in my business.
