Antique and vintage items provide a tangible link to the past and are a wonderful way to explore historical periods that are of interest to us. The selection of particular furnishings and decorative items reflect the way we view the world, whether through the artistic expression of others or through the lens of our own experience.

In the past, collectors would seek out and browse local antique shops to hunt for pieces which were personally appealing. The advent of internet sales has opened up these local antique shops to a global market. So why should you shop for antiques online? Customers enjoy (and often prefer) the convenience of shopping from their computers. Birch Hall connects online shoppers with unique and interesting items that they can peruse from the comfort of their homes. While I miss the brick and mortar days, it is very rewarding to work with customers all over the world. I very much enjoy giving items a new life with people who will cherish them as much as their previous owners did.

While relatively new to Ruby Lane, I have been selling antiques and collectibles online for several years and understand the needs and concerns of online shoppers.
