This is a rather chunky ring. It is a marriage ring. I believe the top portion was a button, however, there is no evidence of this from the back or perhaps it is behind the band. The top is hollow and rather thick, sturdy piece. It features a beaded border with a wreath and a shield in the center. The front is in excellent condition with minor signs of wear. The band is soldered to the back of the medallion. The standard band is hallmarked and tested as 14K. The ring has a fabulous look when worn and can very easily be resized by your local jeweler up or down as this will not affect the front of the ring. The front and band test as 14K gold.
