Meji Period Japanese Bronze Raptor Eagle Perched on Rock - image 1 of 16

Very nice antique Meji Period Japanese bronze eagle, cast in 5 parts. The raptor, has his wings spread, and is perched upon a rocky outcropping enhanced by applied leaves and vines. Highly detailed and in good condition with appears to be some holes, and the patina is not original, I believe the old Japanese bronzes had dark/chocolate brown patinas. Still displays beautifully and fresh to the market. Heavy at just about 7 pounds.

Measures about: 16 5/8" wide x 15.5" tall x 9.5" deep.
