This is an antique oval platter made by John Maddock & Sons of England, then imported into the United States by Burley & Co of Chicago. The platter is white ironstone with a green transferware scroll design around the rim. The platter is 14 1/2" long. The mark on the back dates to between 1880-1923. The platter is in very good condition, there are utensil marks.
