Once upon a time, this cabinet was on the counter of a store selling sewing notions. The wooden cabinet has two drawers, is 10 /4" high, 11 3/4" wide and 18" deep. On the end that faced the customers is a sign saying "Stitch it yourself" with a few sample letters. On the store end, the two drawers pull out and have wooden dividers to separate the hundreds of embroidered letters in packages. There appears to be every letter in the alphabet, a variety of colors, all new to be used. The patents date to 1928. If you wanted to use the letters, you could sew on initials, names or create a sports-type jacket for everyone in the family. If you love old sewing notions, this will be a delight.
