Old Welsh Woman is a nearly 9" composition and cloth international, ethnic doll tagged "Made in Wales" that may have been sold through Kimport or Kimcraft circa 1940s-60s. Her plaster type composition face is simply painted as are her lower plaster type arms. They are attached to a solidly stuffed cloth body over a wire armature, so she can pose. She remains in nice condition though her nose is flaked, she is dusty, and her red woolen dress sustains moth holes, more notably along its lower right skirt area. An inventory number is also written on the left leg of her gray pantaloons. Old Welsh Woman may be a wonderful addition to your collection of international character dolls.
