Handsome and original late 19th/early 20th century cast iron bob-tail horse windmill weight manufactured by Dempster Mill Manufacturing Company, Beatrice Nebraska. These were made to be used on their windmills and are marked '58 G'.
This fine piece stands 16 1/2" high, measures 17 1/2" wide and weighs an impressive 12 1/2 pounds. It is in very good undamaged condition. There are no cracks, breaks or restorations. There is little to no rusting and just expected finish wear.
