Offered is a quadrupole plate silverplate teapot by Vanbergh Silver Co, Rochester NY. It measures 9 x 9 x 5 ½ inches and is marked.
The teapot is in good condition with the plate shining up beautifully. There are some cloudy patches where the plate is thinner but this is to be expected in an item this early.
These silverplate teapots are beautiful holiday decorations when greenery is displayed with them. They are also great flower vases which I often do.
I’m a great advocate of early silverplate where I think great design begins with good design: the principles and values of all art.
