This nicely appointed early 1900s French sauce/drizzle ladle is just the thing for serving a little sauce or gravy. The bowl is patinated copper with a bronze look and the handle is sterling decorated with a raised floral pattern on the front and back. The piece is marked on the handle with the boar's head stamp for silver quality and a maker's mark. The copper handle is stamped METAL. It comes in a maroon fitted case lined with red fabric and a braided cord border. It has a working clasp. The box shows some wear inside and out. The ladle looks to be in unused condition. Measurements of the ladle are: 7" long and 2 3/16" wide and weighs 53.1 grams.
