Reed & Barton Mid-Century Modernist Sterling Sugar & Creamer - image 1 of 13

Produced in 1954 by the prominent American silver manufacturer Reed & Barton, this sleek sterling sugar & creamer set is the epitome of mid century modern silver. Wrought from thick silver, the vessels have a ringed foot and flattened looped handles. The bottoms are stamped REED & BARTON STERLING X80 and their mortar and pestle date mark for 1954. The creamer is 5 5/8" from handle to spout and 2 1/2" tall. The sugar is 4" across the handles and 2" tall. The creamer weighs 97.4 grams and the sugar is 109.7 grams for a combined weight of 207 grams ( 6 2/3 oz troy). There are no dents or scratches; the pair have a little tarnish mostly around the handles.
