This fabulous LARGE 3.25" mid-century signed "CLOSE" Hummingbird Brooch is so sleek and beautiful !

I've never seen a pin / brooch quite like it ! Absolutely wonderful color play in sterling silver contrasting against the gleaming gold-over-sterling vermeil wing. The bottom 2/3 of its head is also gold vermeil...again in striking contrast to the rich purple Amethyst Gemstone eye ! A glowing white Akoya Pearl tips the hummingbird's slender beak as a single stop of nectar...

Very well made, this gorgeous & unusual Fine Vintage Brooch is stamped ".925" on the back & designer signed "CLOSE" in an oval frame.

In Excellent Condition, it weighs 7.60 grams. Will arrive in the vintage box shown...
