This beautiful, Art Nouveau case probably once held a pencil but could be used now as a needle case. It .bears a French. boar’s head hallmark for 800-900 silver quality.

It measures 3¼” (8.3cms) long and ½” (1.3cms) across the base. It weighs 5 grams.

The case carries a lovely repoussé design of thistles. The stems swirl elegantly and the leaves are delicately formed. The design is the same on both sides. The base is finished with leaves. At the top is the boar’s head, signifying 800-900 silver quality..

You pull on the plain top to reveal the empty interior.
