Judging the fabric and trim, I believe this is a very fine artisan homemade dress. It is typical of the type clothing worn by German characters, sometimes over solid color under dresses. I can see a matching blue dress. There is petit point hand stitching at the neck, sleeves and dropped waist band. The blue trim has a scalloped edge. There is a self-fabric sash that ties in the back. The two small pearl-like buttons and buttonholes provide closure at the back. I see one hole that is covered by a large pleat and a small one nearby. Some of the petit point is missing on one sleeve.

Measurements: Total length 15 inches but some of the length will be taken up when you blouse the bodice. Hips: 15 inches but flexible with sash in the back; 5-3/4 across back shoulders;
