Antique 19th c. brass and iron fireplace fender featuring a pierced geometric honeycomb pattern bordered by neoclassical flower head bands. Brass rails at the top and base. The lower section weighted with iron collar for stability.
Crescent shape measures 31.5" across the back x 17" front to back x 8" tall. Excellent condition and patina. One of the flowerheads at the back has been removed in the past probably to accommodate a particular hearth fitting - does not detract. Perfect for traditional interiors with Federal or English Regency influence.
