The original is in the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool England. Beatrice is in white and is walking with her friend Monna Vanna. Behind them is Beatrice's maid servant. Dante concealed his love for Beatrice by pretending to be attracted to other women. So when Beatrice sees him, she walks past ignoring him and refusing to speak to him.
It is in a ornate gold wood frame with designs. It has curved glass (convex), a cardboard backing, and a wire for hanging.
Size: 8 1/2" tall and 10 1/2" wide.
