This is such a cute chromolithographic image of a dog holding a basket of kittens. I don't see a title or artist, unless it is under the frame. I have not taken this apart to check. However, I have seen it before titled "Highway Robbers" and done by publisher McLoughlin Brothers of New York, New York, in business from 1858-1920. It was number 1519 in one of McLoughlin catalogues. The publisher was primarily known for their chromolithographic work.
It is in an oval gold wood frame. It has glass, a cardboard backing with a partial dust cover, and a wire for hanging.
Size: The frame measures approximately 14 5/8" tall and 11 3/4" wide. The inside measurements, taken from the back, are approximately 12" by 9."
Condition: No damage noted, just a few typical scratches on the frame, visible in the photos. I note a little movement in the glass when moving it from side to side. However, the glass covers the entire image.
A cute item for both dog and cat lovers.
