Advertising 1912 Postcard for Indian Maiden Miss Spokane - image 1 of 3

This is a 1912 Postcard of the "Official Design of Miss Spokane Approved by Spokane Ad Club, Spokane Wash." It features a woman dressed as an American Indian. The first model chosen for Miss Spokane and featured on the postcard was Marguerite Motie (1895-1982), who was selected March 29, 1912 and had the title until 1939. There is quite a bit of information about her online.

Near her foot is "Copyright 1912." At the lower left is "Designed and Drawn by Eleanor Gaddis. Engraving by McDermid Engraving Co." At the lower right is the Official Seal of Spokane.

It was mailed in 1912 with a two cent stamp.

Condition: No damage noted. It does have age toning on the front and back, visible in the scans.
