This is a lovely orientalist gypsy woman by the Italian artist Francesco Ballesio (1860-1923). It is referred to as "Preparing for the Dance."
She is in a black wood curved frame with brass attachments at the upper right and bottom left. It has glass, a cardboard backing, and a wire for hanging.
Size: The frame measures approximately 10 3/4 inches tall and 8 1/4 inches wide. The inside measurements, from the back, are approximately 8 1/8" by 6." The visible area of the oval from the front is approximately 6 7/8" tall and 5" wide.
Condition: I note some scratches to the frame and stress lines on the attachments. No damage noted to the print.
Shipping will be combined on multiple purchases. If purchasing more than one item, please hold payment for the revised invoice. Thank you.
