Monogram B Sterling Silver Dessert Server Madam Morris 1909 Whiting Gorham - image 1 of 13

Antique sterling silver handle dessert server with plated business end, in the Madam Morris pattern, 1909, Whiting, later Gorham. It has a handsome Old English monogram B on one side of the handle. It measures nine and seven eighths inches long. Good antique condition, a little tight bubbling in one place on the edge of the blade as shown, a faint rub mark on the back of the handle which can be buffed out by your jeweler if it bothers you, shown also, tipped to the light just so to make it visible, and some light corrosion where the blade meets the handle, shown. These are typical of serving pieces of over a hundred years, and have to be inspected closely to notice, and it is in quite good condition. Freshly hand polished.
