19th Century Terrier Portrait English School Dog Painting - image 1 of 12

Charming 19th Century oil portrait of two terriers. Beautiful strong colors in this dog painting. The sweet lovable nature of these two is captured by the unknown talented artist. The empty bowl of food suggests the two are waiting for their master at feeding time. The piece is oil on canvas laid to board. The painting is housed in the original gilt frame.

Painting measures 18" wide by 16" high
Frame measures 24" wide by 22" high

The frame has some blemishes to the edge of the frame (see photos). The right bottom corner of the frame has had some repair. The overall front of the frame has a lovely patina. In my opinion, it presents beautifully.
