Item : Single Shoe Display
Origin : Unknown , Circa 1890
Marks : K 4 on the bottom of the base .
Materials : Solid Brass
Size : Adjustable height, goes from 8" to 12" .
Scale : Adult-Size Shoe Display, ...... Please see sizes as items can appear larger or smaller in the pictures than in person.
Condition : Structurally sound , no breaks or bends to the metal .Superficial scratches and wear to the surface are consistent with age, wear and utilitarian use. Two of the original rubber gaskets on the feet are gone and two remain. Hence the stand rocks a bit which never bothered me in the twenty plus years I have owned and used it. The feet are photographed both with and without the rubber gaskets .
Comments : From my personal collection and offered for sale for the first time , this relatively rare ,( my internet search unearthed only one other antique shoe display ) , piece is adjustable in two places . The brass threaded screw on the shaft raises the display to its maximum height of 12" and the threaded bolt at the top adjusts the shoe angle .
Two of the photos shows a pair of Daniel Green slippers which will be listed separately .
All items are used and appear as such . Any flaws will be addressed and described as best as I can . Please examine the photos as well as they are the best indicators of condition.
