Lovely Sterling Silver Souvenir Spoon of St. Joseph, Missouri depicting it's name in beautiful Victorian style script, having "First M.E. Church, 11/02/11" engraved in the same script on the back of the handle. It is also signed, "925/1000, STERLING", plus having a hallmark on the back upper handle. The spoon handle is adorned with a raised bead edge and an antefix type pointed base on the tip of the handle. The spoon measures approx. 5 3/4" long, and weighs 22.9 gram. It is in great vintage condition and does have the name "Hosmer" engraved on the front of the handle. I believe this spoon was probably a fund raiser for the church.
St. Joseph is a very historical town with it being the location of the start of the Pony Express. It also was the home of a state mental institution in the 19th and 20th century and is a lovely historical town to this day.
We will send this lovely spoon to you in a gift box. Thank you for looking!
