Frees (1879-1953), described as "Artist, Photographer and Friend of Animals," notes, "Photographing animal pets posed in costume requires an intuitive sense that tells you what a little kitten or puppy or bunny is going to do, before he does it. It also requires an exceedingly fertile imagination and infinite patience The secret of success is kindness, first, last and all time."
Thirteen posed photographs of cats, bunnies, puppies, and a chicken. Uncommon hard-to-find publication.

Condition: the center pages are stapled together but have come loose from the cover; the spine is thin and delicate; covers show rubbing, wear, and some fading. Non-smoking facility. No odors.
