This absolutely stunning floral watercolour on paper was produced in England circa 1830. We see a spray of wild dog roses, roses and tubular bell type flowers. Each flower is tirelessly dry painted by the artist slowly building up more colour and detail in fine strokes of watercolour. This is a very time consuming process but judging by the results, it is clearly worth it!
This all original painting is housed behind old glass in the most decorative gilt frame. The painting will display excellently in any setting and is perfect for anyone who is loves early 19th century art and antiques. You will have so many choices for display, this piece works so well with Staffordshire figures, antique porcelain or a pretty pitcher collection too!
Please see our collection of 18th and 19th century art and antiques listed separately in our store.
