19th Century English Bird Paintings in Stunning Folk Art Wood Frame Circa 1870 Art Nouveau - image 1 of 8

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own such a stunning piece of Victorian folk art!

This beautiful hand carved large wood frame was produced in England ruing the 19th century, circa 1870. The frame houses five individual watercolor paintings. The watercolour paintings are on card and each depict a little garden bird warbler, goldfinch, blackbird, great tit and chaffinch. The paintings are housed behind their original glass. The original Art Nouveau frame is stunning, we love the hand carved naturalistic details. The frame is even complete with its original backing paper.

This is an original, one of a kind decorative artwork that is perfect for anyone who loves nature, design or has a passion for 19th century art and antiques.

Measuring: Frame width 17.25 inch (44 cm) by height 13 3/8 inch (34 cm). Each aperture measuring approximately 1 5/8 inch (4 cm) by height 2.75 inch (7 cm).

Condition: Light surface wear to frame commensurate with age. Minor age foxing to the chaffinch.

Shipping: Too large to post, this painting will ship via DHL Express Courier to UK and mainland USA only. Buyers are responsible for any import taxes/duties.
