Flirty dolls are among some of the most desirable bisque dolls that ever graced the doll market in the early 1900s. Not only do they have those delightful molded and painted bisque heads that we have come to love from typical child dolls, but they have quite exceptional “flirty” eyes that glance from side to side with a tilt of the head. This particular flirty doll is made by Kammer and Reinhardt and Simon & Halbig, in the 126 mold, and is standing on an exceptional five piece baby body at a height of 22.5” tall. She’s in great condition, so you can buy her with confidence! Snatch her up now!

She has a bisque socket head with molded and painted features: blue glass flirty eyes, painted upper and lower lashes, tin sleep lids, feathered brown brows, and an open mouth with two upper teeth. She stands at 22.5” tall on an antique fully-jointed wood and composition toddler body, and wears a fluffy blond mohair wig.

She wears a vintage white cotton dress, printed with a pink floral design, a small Peter Pan collar, a box pleated waist, and tucks at the hem of the skirt. Underneath, she wears an antique white cotton full slip with tucks and lace trim and a pair of antique white knit short pantaloons. On her feet are a pair of white knit socks and vintage black patent shoes. On her head is an antique white cotton bonnet with a lacy brim.

MARKS: K star R / SIMON & HALBIG / Germany / 126 / 50 [incised, back of head]

CONDITION: Generally Excellent. The bisque head is free of any hairlines, cracks, chips, or restoration, with top-quality modeling and painting of features. The glass eyes work well on the flirting mechanism, moving from side to side with a tilt of the head, and the tin sleep lids work well. The hands and lower arms have been repainted, and the rest of the wood and composition body has some areas of touchups and minor and expected age wear, and otherwise retains much of its original shiny finish. The wig is sturdy and supple, with no smoke odors. The costume is good, with only minor and typical age wear. Overall, she’s a great flirty doll, so desirable in today's doll collectible market!
