Antique Victorian 14K Gold Mourning Ring - In Memorium Braided Hair | Initial B - Size 10.5

Dating to the late 1890s or so, may I offer this initial "B" mourning ring fashioned from 14K Rose Gold (tested, not marked). Measuring a large 10-1/4 on my ring sizer, the top design measures 3/4" x 9/16". Width of the shank is 5/16"; weight is 5.3 grams. Condition is very fine with no real problems I can spot - the brown hair composing the outside design is in wonderful condition with no fraying, splaying, etc. The open space you see under the right side of the Initial B top looks a lot larger than it really is - the only reason you see the empty space is because of my flash and the 10X enlargement of the ring you see in the photos; in person, in normal light, all you see is darkness in that area. The ring offered is a very fine example of mourning jewelry and I would love to see it go to a collector who will appreciate the craftsmanship of the piece.
