Antique Victorian 14K Gold Mourning Ring - In Memorium Braided Hair | Initials C H

Dating to the late 1880s or so, may I offer this 14K Rose Gold (tested, not marked) band with a braided brown hair front and a small shield, engraved with the initials C H, holding the hair in place. Size of the ring is 9.25 on my sizer; width of the band is a little over 1/8" and weight is .8 grams. Condition is very fine with no problems to the hair - no splits, bits missing, etc. The ring is slightly out of round but only slightly. If you are just starting to collect mourning jewelry, this is a lovely piece to start your journey.
