Captain William Cornwallis Harris (1807 - 1848) traveled to Africa in 1836 and 1837. His folio of drawings was published after his return from his trip before his death. He was not an outstanding artist, but his lithographs have great charm and spirit. His lithographs are highly sought after by collectors.
Notice the man in the grass by the rhinoceros horn and the hunters in the background.
The White Rhinoceros is in a nice oak frame under glass. It is in good condition as shown in the photographs. The oak frame measures 14 ¾ by 10 ¼ inches. The lithograph measures 8 7/8 by 5 ½ inches. This is a wonderful historic lithograph ready for your home or office. Enjoy!
