This is an American small art glass pitcher, probably meant for milk or cream. The maker is unknown. The date is circa 1900.
The glass is amethyst, or purple. The shape has spiral panels, and if you look carefully, the color shades along the spirals; this is quite beautiful if you like antique purple glass.
The pitcher is 4 ½” high and 3 ¼” wide at the belly.
The handle is applied and it has a mold seam. The foot is round. There is a rough pontil on the bottom.
The rim is round.
There is one tiny pinprick nick on the foot edge that you can feel, but it is difficult to see. There are some air bubbles and one tiny straw mark indentation on the interior near the rim. There are no chips or cracks.
