This is an American art glass toothpick holder. I am told the maker is AJ Beatty Glass Co, Steubenville, Ohio. The pattern is Honeycomb or Waffle. The date is circa 1890.

The glass is a pale shade of purple, maybe lavender – amethyst. The white overlay glass is opalescent on the edges and it forms a geometric design on the outside of the glass, and a smooth flat spiral shape on the bottom.

The holder is 2 1/2” high and 2 1/8” wide.

The rim is polished flat with some slight rounding.

There are some air bubbles, mostly at the top.

There are no nicks, chips or cracks.
