This is a small Bohemian Czech cranberry or pale ruby art glass tumbler, only 2 ½” high and 1 5/8” wide. The date is circa 1920.
The tumbler might be a shot glass, or for a cordial, or even a toothpick holder. I do not know the original function, if any. I do not know the maker.
The glass is cranberry with white overlay. There are smaller oval window panes around the lower end, and larger oval window panes around the upper part; the window panes are bordered in hand painted gold trim, with a gold design on each pane. On the white overlay are hand painted flowers and green leaves; there is no artist’s signature. Several Czech companies produced glass like this.
The rim is polished flat and trimmed in gold. There are some tiny pinprick nicks in the gold.
The bottom is polished flat. The bottom shows 1) ring wear on the white overlay and 2) the cranberry glass has a lot of light scratches. On the bottom edge there is a small nick on the white overlay.
There are no chips or cracks.
