A pair of vintage semi vitreous porcelain dessert, fruit or sauce bowls by The Royal Saxon China Company. They specialized in dinnerware. Maroon rim with elaborate gold decorations. Hand painted floral center. No pattern name available but one of the bowls is numbered "8" in gold. Produced from 1934 to 1958 United States. Possibly an early pattern.

Condition:
Good with small imperfections. Crackling under the glaze more often seen in semi vitreous porcelain. A 2.0 millimeter dot discoloration inside one. A 3.0 millimeter surface chip on the outside of the #8 bowl rim.

The French Saxon China Company Seal back stamp states "Union Affiliated The National Brotherhood Operative Potters. 22 K Gold U.S.A. Sebring, Ohio." Company est. 1934 by W. Vern Oliver in Sebring, Ohio. Closed in 1958.
