A vintage solid brass piece that was used as a furniture decoration. It could double as a single drawer or cupboard pull. Made by Keeler Brass Company est. 1893, Michigan. The estimated production time is 1960 -1970. However, the company rep informed us the exact production year or style name for it is not accessible to them now because it was made before they archived their records electronically.
A product code and the company initials are on the back as "N953 KBC (Keeler Brass Co) 3"

I speculated that it could double as a door knocker as the drop piece moves on a hinge, and it is heavy enough to make audible knocks if a larger brass back plate were added behind it. Using a longer screw.

The size is 3.0 inches long. The two scalloped plates are 1.25 inches wide. A machined screw comes with it that is brass color.

It has a natural patina on the brass that comes with age. Some prefer this look so any polishing should be left to the permanent owner to decide. It will clean up to a rich shiny brass color.
