1933 Worlds Fair – Century of Progress Spoon - image 1 of 4

At the height of the Depression, the country went forward with the 1933 World's Fair, Century of Progress. This souvenir spoon commemorates that time, and is symbolic in the idea of “future thought”, that no matter how tough times are, there are better things coming.

In the bowl of this spoon is the design “Electrical Group”, showing a highly detailed Art Deco building, with trees and a fountain in front. Along the handle are the words “A Century of Progress”, and details showing Fort Dearborn with the words “Fort Dearborn” and “133”, a reference to Fort Dearborn's centennial. On the reverse on the handle are the words “Century Silverplate”.
This spoon is in great condition, showing no wear to the plate. It is 6 inches long.

Shipping and insurance are included on this item within the continental United States.
