This beautiful hand painted tea set includes a teapot, covered sugar bowl and creamer/pitcher. All of the pieces are marked in green with an M within a wreath and leaves, hand painted, Nippon. The M was for importers Morimura Brothers. This mark was used from 1910 to 1911.
All of the pieces are trimmed in gold and are decorated with gold beading and have pink enameled flowers.
The creamer measures approximately 2 1/4” high and 3 1/2” in diameter.
The teapot measures approximately 3 1/4” high, 4 1/2” to the top of the finial, 9” from handle to spout and 5 1/4” in diameter.
The sugar bowl measures approximately 2 1/4” high, 3 1/2 to the top of the finial, 7” from handle to handle and 4 1/4” in diameter.
They are in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks but there is expected wear on the gold gilding.
