Copper Luster Lustre Jug Pitcher Raised Design Blue Band Circa1850 - image 1 of 10

This is a very lovely copper luster or lustreware pitcher with a hand painted raised design on each side of a person or woman sitting in a garden reading a book.  It has a wide deep blue band around the middle. It was made in England and dates to around the mid 1800’s.

It is in good antique condition. There are no chips or cracks. There is some wear to the enamel paint on the raised relief design. It does have small manufacturing imperfections expected for a piece from this time period. Please note there are reflections on the copper. Shooting reflective surfaces can be problematic.

It measures approximately 4” in diameter and 4 3/4” high to the top of the spout.

Selling this for Schell Antiques.
