Tall and elegant, an 11 1/4" high antique French glass trumpet vase. The vase is clear glass with a layer of ruby or cranberry glass applied to the top interior that thins to clear. The body is hand embellished with wonderful raised floral enamels surrounded by gold accents. The foot of the vase is also decorated with enameling. Our expert consultants believe this to be a Legras piece but we've been unable to confirm this attribution; we do believe it is definitely French in the Bohemian style. It's lovely and dates to the last half of the 19th century.

The vase is free of chips and cracks, a bit of age loss to the enameling and, if you look very closely, there are some very slight scratches on the interior ruby glass, no doubt from flowers or rose thorns rubbing on it. White specks in the interior photos are reflection from overhead lights. There is a speck of residue in the very bottom of the glass which we're sure can be removed.
