A fabulous mid century modern crackle glass decanter by Rainbow Glass of Huntington, West Virginia. This decanter is blown crackle glass with an amazing tall stopper and done in a honey amber color that looks so mid century and is especially handsome when light shines through.
The decanter with stopper stands 12 1/2" tall; with stopper removed, the genie bottle is 8" tall. This is blown glass and the pontil is slightly dimpled, very similar to a Blenko pontil. There are no chips or cracks but there is some chiggering around the base of the stopper as pictured.
Rainbow Glass was founded in 1940 in New York but moved to Huntington in 1942 and remained in business until 1973 when it was purchased by Viking Glass. West Virginia was home to many glass factories for decades, the most popular mid century manufacturers being Rainbow, Blenko, Bischoff, and West Virginia Glass.
The decanter weighs 2 1/2 lbs before packing, and shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail.
