A fantastic Early American Pattern or Pressed Glass (EAPG) pitcher! This pattern is commonly called either "U.S. Comet" or "Doyle's Comet", and more infrequently, "Draped Fan". It was first made by Doyle & Company of Pittsburgh in the 1880's, and continued to be produced in the 1890's after Doyle merged with U.S. Glass. It stands 9" tall and has a terrific "drawer pull" handle, scalloped rim, and stippled triangles around the fence band and a scalloped "madeleine" shell design around the bottom. The foot is clear. The pitcher is in very good condition with no chips or cracks.
This pitcher weighs just under 3 lbs before packing, and shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail, insurance included.
