1820 Creamware Staffordshire Child's Mug ~ For My Dear Girl - image 1 of 11

VERY EARLY CREAMWARE PINK LUSTRE CHILDS MUG
FOR MY DEAR GIRL
Staffordshire England ~
c. 1820
This desirable mug from the Staffordshire region of England stands a mere 2 1/2 " tall x 2 1/4 " wide excluding the applied handle.
A wonderful creamware mug with a lustre band along the rim. The transfer feature a naive scene of two young lads playing at waters edge with their sloop. A lovely young girl watches the boys and their boat. The inscription reads FOR MY DEAR GIRL.
Creamware with pink luster mugs are hard to find especially with such a fabulous subject as this.
A rare find. Light weight and beautifully potted with a short stable hairline near the handle.
