Rare Transferware Miniature Cup Plate

This beautiful little cup plate or childs plate measures presents a biblical maxim Made as a child's miniature toy plate, measuring 3-3/4 inches in diameter, it is transfer printed in rich cobalt blue or flow blue. The border os press moulded flowers is decorated with wisps of red yellow and green enamel paints. The image depicts two men arm in arm in friendship and fellowship. LET BROTHERLY LOVE CONTINUE, written above the image, is from the King James Bible book of Hebrews 13:1-6, serving as a reminder to love and care about all people.

The tiny plate was made as a gift for a good child, as a reward of merit or to aid in learning the important lessons of the bible . The transferware pattern is rare, and highly relevant in today’s troubled word. 

The tiny plate is in great condition, as shown and as described. A couple of itty bitty underglaze flea bites on the edge and no chips cracks or repairs. Stilt mark on reverse side. Offered as is, a fine example of motto and moral maxim cup plates in miniature transferware, a pocket size work of art.
