Westmoreland Specialty Company produced a series of dresser jars and vanity items circa 1910 which were part of their line number 238. This little dresser jar or trinket box features fans, scrolls and some horseshoe designs which embellish the milk glass. It retains some remnants of original paint, but unfortunately the majority of the decoration has been lost to the years.
This box measures just under 3" in height, and 3 1/2" square. It does have some minor roughness to some of it's edges from age and use, but has no chips or cracks. It would make a lovely addition to a quest bathroom in a period home.
