In 1951 Pontiac turned 25 and released this publication as part of their anniversary celebration. It is both an advertising booklet and collection of road maps of the United States. This booklet was distributed by “Tee Pee Motors” of Chardon, Ohio. It is a wonderful piece of automotive memorabilia from a bygone era when cars were all made in the U.S. out of U.S. steel and had huge high-performance engines. Much of the booklet is filled with roadmaps of the U.S. in the days prior to the interstates. Any trip was an adventure and took the travelers to many exciting places to visit along the way. This item contains 92 pages. The soft covers measure 8 inches by 10 ½ inches. There are pages of color images of the Pontiacs that were available in 1951, accessories that could be purchased along with the vehicles, and many detailed pages of sectional maps of the United States. The booklet is still in reasonably good condition. There is occasional soiling, abrasions, and small tears. The covers are still firmly attached. Considering age and use, this booklet is in better-than-expected condition. What a great item for the motorhead in your family, or for the collector of travel memorabilia.
