During the 1930s, the Fenton Glass company produced a number of opalescent patterns, one being spiral optic. This pattern was issued in the standard colors of blue, cranberry, and French (white) opalescent first followed by green and blue ridge later in the decade. Produced in many different shapes including baskets, bowls and vases. We have a very attractive rose bowl in the color of blue ridge produced during the years 1934-1939. The shape number is 201 and this example exhibits a beautiful contrast of the white spiral opalescent stripes and the royal blue applied rim. The rose bowl measures 4 1/2” tall and approximately 5” across the widest area of the body. The bottom is unmarked, originally had a paper label. Thorough examination reveals no damages or repairs. I have included several pictures showing how clean the inside is with no residue or staining from use. Truly remarkable condition considering this item is over 80 years old. Thank you.
