Antique British pearlware plate. Decorated in the Landing of Gen. La Fayette pattern in dark blue transfer. Impressed Clews Warranted Staffordshire on the reverse. Produced by Ralph and James Clews. Circa 1820s.
Has crazing typical of earthenware, wear consistent with age and use, and some in manufacture stacking flakes to the foot rim, but otherwise good condition.
Measures approximately 9 inches wide.
