Nice antique British pearlware child's mug. Decorated with scenes of children playing with a wheelbarrow and skipping rope in black transferware with part of the poem "In books, or works, or healthful play, Let my first years be past;That I may give, for every day,Some good account at last above." The poem cuts off after the word "Be." Unmarked. Circa 1830 to 1840s.
Good condition.
Measures approximately 3 1/4 inches wide including the handle x 2 5/8 inches tall.
